You are right Snow and Rain!!!
9/4/91 is most definitely not a clunker!! LOL
Thanks for pointing it out to me. I don't venture into the 90s much, so this was a refreshing change.

Indeed a strong set list. A decent first set, but the pre drums second set is very good. Scarlet seemed a little shaky to me , but the transition into Fire all the way thru drums is just smokin! There are spots where I feel Jerry gets a bit heavy handed with the midi, but nothing that can't be overlooked. Also was not crazy about Bruce's accordian on Masterpiece.

Ugh.. that cursed accordion!

What was it Garcia said? "We don't let just anybody sit in on accordion."

No, I suppose they reserved that spot exlusively for people on whom Jerry has a man-crush.

I think the 9/4 Scarlet starts very strong -- Jerry nails the between verse solos -- but it does start to drift a little after they open it up, pre-transition. But yeah, Fire is off the hook. There's a video from this set, and Jerry is really animated. Great stuff. The crowd was going bonkers.
